Centennial Elementary School

Reading Counts is a program for all of our students, kindergarten through fifth grade.  The goals of the program are to help increase student's interest in reading and to help improve student comprehension skills.  Thousands of books in our library are included in the program.  Students read a book and then take a computerized quiz which assesses how well he/she comprehended what was read.  We have incentives which students can aim for and many of our students have fun reading and enjoy the challenge of the program.  Not all books in the library or in teacher classroom libraries are included in the Reading Counts program and students are encouraged to read them also.
