Kindergarten

Welcome to Kindergarten!

Learning: We are so excited to learn and grow together this year. Kindergarten is a year full of new experiences to help your child reach their full potential as a student. Our main focuses include reading, writing, math, and social-emotional learning.

Important: Students should bring a snack and water bottle everyday. 

Please read with your child for 20 minutes a night. 

Sticker charts: In kindergarten we reward students for positive behavior with sticker charts. Stickers can be earned for following directions, doing something brave or challenging, setting an example for other students, being kind to a classmate, completing a task, etc. When your child earns 20 stickers and fills their chart, they get a prize in the treasure box to take home. It can take kids a week or more to fill their sticker chart and they are typically very excited the day it comes home. We generally find students very motivated by this system if you would like to implement something similar at home!
