English Language Development (ESL/ELL)

Curriculum Information

The ACCESS English Language Assessment is an assessment this year implemented by the Colorado Department of Education. The test measures a student's ability and fluency in English. There are four parts: Reading, Writing, Speaking and Listening.

Our curriculum is based on the Colorado English Development Proficiency Standards. These standards are for students who have been identified as needing linguistic and academic support in English. They focus on four main areas; reading, writing, speaking and listening.
