The vision of Centennial Elementary is...
Inspiring a community of diverse minds to thrive as independent learners.

Mission: We are a community focused on a culture of improvement and belonging. We engage all students in rigorous opportunities to elevate their voice and provide authentic experiences to transfer their learning.

We believe in practicing our ABCs, which are our Raptor Qualities of Accountability, Belonging, and Courage.

We learn about what these qualities mean, look like, and sound like together, and then we practice them in every aspect of our time together in school. We honor those students who exhibit these qualities with praise, classroom rewards, and school wide recognition. When mistakes are made though, we repair relationships using our Restorative Practices. Students are empowered to solve their problems by using Peace Paths, a protocol that encourages students to respectfully talk and actively listen to each other.

"All six of my children have attended Centennial; my youngest two are in 3rd and 5th grade this year. We have experienced preschool through 5th grade, the Gifted and Talented program and with special needs children, some of the extra support that Centennial Elementary offers. My children have enjoyed taking part in some of the clubs and activities. The staff and teachers are the best! The care and attention they give to each child proves their love and passion for teaching. The office staff are friendly and professional. The Health Aide is great with kids and loves by them. The custodial crew knows the kids by name and are fun to interact with. Those working in the cafeteria and library are great with the kids and I’ve been impressed that they also know their special interests.

Centennial’s Parent Teacher Organization (CPTO) has been amazing with fun family-oriented events. Communication with the school has been great – their website is up-to-date with info and newsletters; the use of the Class Dojo app is easy to use and is how you can reach teachers and be in the know of upcoming activities and important information.

Needs for all students are met through various avenues: BASE, CPTO, School Accountability Committee, Specials, Gifted and Talented, Multilingual Learners, Special Education, Social-Emotional Learning, Instructional Coaches, Social-Emotional Learning Specialists, and more!

Centennial is a great neighborhood school and with the help of all there, it truly is a sense of community and belonging and support for a diverse group of kids."
