Hello Students! Welcome back to learning after your spring break! I am very excited to start virtual learning with all of my English Language Learners. During the upcoming month, we will learn how to use different tools on the chromebook as we master learning targets. You will still have opportunities to speak in English, to listen in English, to read and to write! We will learn new ways to engage until we can see each other again in person.
I will be posting links and work for you to do through Google Classroom (if you are a second grader through fifth grader). If you are a kindergartener or first grader, your ELD work will be sent through Class Dojo. We will be using links to Epic, to Ed Puzzle, and to other applications. Together, we will learn how to do technological things we may never have had the opportunity to learn.

*** Here is my biography below, in case you've never had a chance to read it.***
Welcome/ Bienvenidos to Centennial Elementary School. I am thrilled to be a part of the staff here at Centennial Elementary! I have taught in Colorado, Texas, and Tennessee. My primary background has been in teaching Spanish and ELD (English Language Development)/ ELD at the high school and middle school levels. Furthermore, I have a Bachelor's Degree in Spanish and Business from Pennsylvania State University. My teacher certification was completed at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas; and I am accredited to teach ELD through Metropolitan State University of Denver. In my spare time, my family is my biggest priority. My husband and I have lived in Colorado for over 24 years, and we love this state! We have two children: a young man is in his senior year of college and a ninth grader. As a family, we love to be outdoors, to boat, to hike, to ski, and to get together with friends. Music and reading bring me great pleasure as well. I look forward to working with your student/you in this upcoming school year!
