I have been teaching fourth grade at Centennial Elementary since 2002 and love it! My students enjoy learning in a 1-to-1 iPad Mini environment thanks to a Friedman Family Foundation grant. Learning with mobile technology is both exciting and challenging, but allows my students the unique and genuine opportunity to develop their 21st Century thinking skills every day.
Colorado has been my home since 1995 when my family moved here from San Diego, California. I received my Bachelor of Arts in English and a minor in Reading from Metro State College of Denver and my Masters of Education in Reading, Writing and Literacy from Lesley University. My husband, Jeff, and I have been married for 30 years and have two wonderful sons. I enjoy reading, gardening, photography, traveling and learning.
